By now, many of you have taken your cars out of mothballs in anticipation of the cruise season. Our first Cadet cruise is Wednesday, May 16th. We’ll start setup at 2:30 PM, so please try to be there to help, and please don’t forget goody bag items if you have some connections. There will be an early crew out at noon to go over the site for this first cruise – maybe some cleanup, etc. VWe still need pictures for dash plaques – July is Redinger and August is Smeltzer and Peck. If you don’t have a high definition picture that you can email to Bill Johnson, then please let me know so that we can arrange a picture-taking session.
I have requested that a new bylaw be added to our bylaws – a bylaw that specifies an audit of our books. Until we have that in place, we are currently in the process of auditing the books from 2011 and that should be complete soon.
With a new bylaw, our club books will be audited each year after all bills are paid from the ending year. Future audits will be ready for our first meeting of the new year – in February.
Saturday, May 12th is our poker run. We’ll meet at the Kittanning Park and Ride by McDonalds at noon. The routes are about 40 minutes in length, about 25 miles, and end at a restaurant. Please let me know if you plan to come.
All of the murder mysteries at the Riverside Inn are on Friday nights, so, at the next meeting, we’ll have to plan what everyone wants to do regarding any event at the Riverside Inn. One option is to leave the Kittanning area at 2 PM, Friday, October 26th and get to the murder mystery that evening, and then stay over for the Medieval Feast and Halloween Party on Saturday, October 27th. That would be double cost of our normal stays as it would be 2 nights, 2 shows, plus breakfast on Sunday. Also, you can pick and choose either event and plan your stay accordingly for the lower one day rate. The 3 day event would be $399 per couple and includes 2 nights lodging, 2 full breakfasts, 2 dinners, 2 shows, and the Halloween party, with tax inclusive. Also, we need to decide on a charity for our Wednesday, August 29th charity cruise at the Cadet.
Our Wednesday, April 25th meeting is at the CADET Restaurant (CADET Restaurant this time). Please try to be there by 6 PM to order and we will start the meeting early, during dinner, so that we can get out early enough as the restaurant closes earlier.
