Letter from the President
February 2015

Oh the weather outside is frightful and our joints are not delightful since it is so dang cold we feel old, we feel old, we feel old. Our May cruise is only 4 months away and George has been plowing snow at the Cadet in order to get ready for that cruise.

Good news! Thanks to your participation in the voting, the Cadet won Best Monthly Cruise and Best Hamburger in the 2014 Cruisin' Times Magazine 'Best of' competition. Jorn is one of the 'regulars' at the Cadet and he says that George is very appreciative of the recognition. Jorn and Ernie Luke were at the restaurant when George called and thanked John Shapiro, editor and owner of Cruisin' Times Magazine. John Shapiro said that he and his 'crew' will make the trip, probably in June, for a Cadet Cruise. They'll have their tent, tee shirts, magazines, etc. there. He runs a 55 Chevy sedan delivery to events. So, we're looking forward to Cruisin' Times Magazine's return to the Cadet.

You should be receiving your 2015 AACA membership cards in the mail. If you don't receive it, let me know. New members may take a little longer to receive theirs. We used to distribute them from the local club, but the AACA will no longer allow that they mail them all out individually.

Marcia Williamson will be sending letters out to businesses and organizations in hopes of getting goody bag items. And, if you have any connections, please try to get bag items it is a good advertising system for businesses and organizations to get their word out there.

Please remember to send information about yourself, or cruises that you've heard of, or anything of interest to Bill Johnson, or myself, to get the information on the website. Also, if your car is to be featured on a 2015 dash plaque, please get a good digital photo to Bill Johnson. If photo help is needed, we can get that going also just need to know. Make sure that you check out the club website www.kithannecarclub.com for club-related information. Bill works hard on it and keeps it updated.

Rene Grumbaugh is once again going to do the 'Carless Cruise', Cabin Fever Cruise, at the Cook Forest Country Inn. This event will be Sunday, February 22, noon to 4PM. Come in your 'snow and salt mobile' and bring a picture of your cruise car. Always a fun event with good prizes!

Scott and Jason, of Cookie Daze fame, are conducting a car clubs 'Town Hall' type meeting in East Brady coming up Saturday, March 28th, 1PM to 5PM, 450 Robinson Street, East Brady. Cruisin' Times Magazine, Big Al of Big Al's List, and Vito from Carcruises.com will all be there. JnJ Graphix will have a table there for your purchasing pleasure.

Stay warm! Mark your calendar for our first 2015 meeting at Cabin Greens Restaurant, Wednesday, March 25th, 6PM dinner, 7PM meeting.

Thank you,
