Letter from the President
July 2014
KIT-HAN-NE REGION OF THE AACA

As we head into mid-July, we have many cruise choices. Many choices are listed on the website.

Sunday, July 13, there are two local cruises an 'early' one at 11AM at South Buffalo Fire Hall on old route 28 at Freeport and a later one, the Keystone Kruisers $500 give away cruise at Worthington West Franklin Fire Hall from 4 to 8PM. Cruisers must be registered before 6PM to be eligible for the prize.

Wednesday, July 16 is our Cadet Cruise. Set up starts at 2PM and, as always, we need you there to help and we always need goody bag items if you have connections.

Thursday, July 24th, is the Relay for Life cruise at Kalmar Motors near Leechburg. We are the club putting it on with Kalmar Motors, so we'll need set up help starting at 2PM cruise is from 4 to 8PM.

Saturday, August 9th is our informal cruise to the Kittanning Care Center out behind Barker's Appliance on 422, from 11:30AM to 1PM. It is a short one please come out and let the residents enjoy seeing our cars. Kittanning Care will have food and drink for sale as a fund raiser.

Saturday, August 9th, afternoon may still be the Cruising the River car cruise in Riverfront Park in Kittanning. Arrangements are not yet finalized, so please check your sources or call me as we approach that date.

Saturday, August 16, is the Keystone Kruisers Ice Cream Poker Run. You leave Franklin Village plaza at 3PM and visit 5 ice cream stops to collect your poker hand and end up back at Franklin Village plaza by 8PM to see who won the poker hand. There is a $5 entry fee.

Our Wednesday, August 20th Cadet Cruise is our annual charity cruise. The only suggestion, so far, has been the Armstrong chapter of Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors they are seeking some financial help for their projects. If you have other charities that you'd like to have considered for this event, please mention them at the Wednesday, July 23rd club meeting where the final vote for this year's charity will need to be held. Per AACA rules, please remember that political or religious charities are not eligible.

And, if you plan to participate in the Butler Old Stone House Region (BOSH) road rally on Saturday, August 23rd, starting at 9AM, and going all day, please contact Terri Yaroschak at president@aacabosh.org or 657 Saxonburg Road, Butler, PA 16002. Sorry, I do not have a phone number.

The club's annual summer picnic has been moved to Boyd and Patty Baker's farm in Boggsville Heights. It will be on Sunday, August 24th. The time of day will be set at the July club meeting at Cabin Greens.

Our annual club banquet is on Saturday, November 8th at Cabin Greens Golf Course. We will select a menu at our September meeting.

Our May and June Cadet cruises were 'wet', so the treasury is falling behind a bit. With expenses, we're only up $149.53, so we have a lot of catching up to do. We need to decide if we want to do a second cruise in July it would be Wednesday, July 30th that needs to be decided, with short notice, at the July club meeting.

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, July 23rd at Cabin Greens Golf Course dining room. Dinner at 6PM, meeting at 7PM. Please try to attend - it is the members that approve club plans.

Thank you,

Bobbi
