Jorn has been talking about hunting for Phil while he's been working on cars getting ready for May. Winter just seems to want to hang on and hang on – well, it is March, a month of constantly-changing weather.
We've been putting out flyers and have them ready for anyone that has outlets for them. The tourist bureau has many copies and have put them out at the Pittsburgh Mills events and at the tourist bureau office in Kittanning.
The quick internet poll of members ended up that we'd agreed to purchase a space on the tourist bureau's Monopoly game for $250. Unfortunately, the 'offer' letter came out after our last club meeting and the deadline was before the next meeting, so the internet was the best way to get fast response and decisions. This is a good fundraiser project for the tourist bureau and we are members of the tourist bureau, so we help one-another out.
If you need some parts for your car for the coming season, be at Worthington West Franklin Firehall on Saturday, April 6th for the Anything on Wheels Swap Meet. The following day, Sunday, April 7th is both the Toy tractor show and sale at the Summerville Firehall and the auto parts swap meet at Washington Township Firehall.
The dash plaques for 2013 are: May – Larry & Valerie Smeltzer, June – Roy & Bobbi Williamson, July - ?, August - ?, September - ? Remember – cruise rain-outs moves your dash plaque out to the next month.
The informal car cruise for the Kittanning Care Center is June 22 with a rain date of June 29.
Our fall banquet for this year is November 9th at the Kittanning Elks. This year, all dinners must be paid-up in advance, by October 25th, to Bobbi Williamson, Treasurer.
Our first cruise is Wednesday, May 15th – just 2 short months away, so please remember to get goody bag items from your sources.
Please be thinking of day trips or over-nighters that you would like to take with the club. We need to set dates and places now as summer schedules conflict quickly. We also need to set our summer picnic date and location.
Our next club meeting is Wednesday, March 27, at the Cabin Greens Golf Course on Ford City Road. Dinner at 6 PM, meeting at 7 PM. Please try to attend – see you there.
