Letter from the President
September 2014

As the cooler weather moves in, it is hard to believe that we only have two cruises left and they're coming up quick.

But, before that, the Keystone Kruisers annual picnic at Russ and Shirley Collar's party garage on Saturday, September 13th, from 3PM (food) to ? Many show up a little earlier to help with setup and play some corn hole tournaments. Informal car cruise on the lawn. Directions north 268 through Cowansville, to right turn onto Sherret Road at the old Tatters Bar, several miles on that road to a hard right just past an old closed school building and then about toward the river party on your right. Please bring a covered dish to share, as well as your fanciest folding chairs. See you there.

The Wal*Mart Cruise is this Sunday, September 14th, noon to 4PM. We will be at the lawn and garden end of the parking lot and have the entire last 3 parking rows, up and down hill from the store. Entry and registration will be at the bottom of the parking lanes, into the bend, down toward Pizza Hut. We'll start setup at 10AM for those who can arrive early to help need tents set up, registration set up and music set up. This is a co-sponsored cruise provided by the Kit-Han-Ne Car Club and the Keystone Kruisers Car Club. There is no rain date for this event drive them wet or dry.

The final 2014 Cadet Cruise will be on Wednesday, September 17th, 4PM to 8PM. Setup begins at 2PM. As always, we need goody bag items. This one will be crowded as it is the last one of our season we'll need expert parking attendants. If we have a prediction of rain, then the final cruise is moved to Wednesday, September 24th. In the case of a prediction of rain, we'll conduct the club meeting, regular times, at Cabin Greens Golf Course on the 17th.

It is officers election time again. At the September club meeting, I will present a slate of officers. So far, this is how it is looking: President Bobbi Jensen, Vice President Boyd Baker & Roy Williamson, Secretary Mark Crissman, Treasurer Bobbi Williamson, Webmaster Bill Johnson, and Legislative Liason Jorn Jensen. If you wish to be added to, or taken off, this list, please let me know before the October voting meeting.

We have four free AACA memberships available for 2015, so if you have acquaintances that would enjoy AACA activities and membership, let them know.

Our $10 local Kit-Han-Ne club dues are due by November 15th to Bobbi Williamson, Treasurer, 302 Cherry Tree Lane, Kittanning, PA 16201. We need to have your $10 collected before we send the national AACA dues payment in to Hershey.

The menu for our November 8th fall banquet at Cabin Greens Golf Course will be tossed salad, sliced roast beef, turkey with stuffing, parsley redskin potatoes, buttered egg noodles, buttered green beans and vanilla ice cream with chocolate topping. Buffet includes rolls, butter, coffee, tea, soft drinks and ice tea. I'm getting hungry! Price per person is $15 and includes tax and tip.

Please keep Bill Johnson aware of changes in your contact information. Thank you.

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, September 24th at Cabin Greens Golf Course. Dinner at 6PM, meeting at 7PM. Please try to attend - members develop and approve club plans.

Thank you,
