It really looks and feels like we're moving into fall, fast – I've had to break out my jacket.
Wednesday, September 20th is our final Cadet cruise for 2017. Wednesday, September 27th is our rain date in case of rain on the 20th. Hopefully, we'll have dry, warm weather on the 20th. Please plan to help out – we need all jobs filled.
Did you get to see the Cadet cruise writeup and pictures in the August 27th Rides! Magazine?
At our September 27th meeting, we will set up our slate of officers for 2018. President, vice president, secretary, treasurer, webmaster, and legislative liason. Donna Kovar has asked to step down as secretary, so please let me know if you would be interested in this position. We will vote-in officers at our October 25th meeting.
Remember – all Kit-Han-Ne $10 family dues are due by November 15th to treasurer Jerry Grafton, 2310 Manor Drive, Ford City, PA 16226. Please make your check payable to Kit-Han-Ne Car Club. Paying your $10 region dues gets your national AACA dues paid by the region on-time.
We've had several requests for a late evening Cadet cruise next summer – 8PM to 12 Midnight. It was voted on at the August meeting and approved. We'll need to set a date – probably a Friday or Saturday evening, mid-summer when it is still warm all evening. We will have gate, music, 50/50, and door prizes – we will not do the hot dog cart at that event – those wanting food will have the choice of Sheetz and possibly the Cadet.
The picnic with the Keystone Kruisers was really well-attended and everything was wonderful. Excellent food, great weather and friends. Thank you to the Collars and the Keystone Kruisers for this great event – and thanks to the Boroski's for the tasty lake Erie fresh fish!
The September 3rd Ford City cruise and parade in the park went very well. We were requested to have the Williamson's hot dog cart there and many members worked to sell 126 hot dogs. We also did a 50/50 with a $91 payout. Proceeds went to the Kit-Han-Ne car club treasury.
Our fall banquet will be Saturday, November 11th (Veterans Day) at the Cabin Greens golf course dining room. We will make our menu selections at the Wednesday, September 27th meeting. The price is $15 for adults and $6 for children 10 and under. All banquet food payment should be made to treasurer Jerry Grafton before November 11th. Make it easy on yourself – one check – one envelope – one stamp - 2018 dues plus your banquet meal payment. Please let me know if you plan to attend the banquet by November 4th so that I can give the kitchen a headcount. Friends and family are invited.
6th club meeting of the year – Wednesday, September 27th at Cabin Greens Golf Course. Dinner at 6 PM, meeting at 7 PM. We'll be choosing our menu for the November 11th banquet. See you there – please try to patronize the restaurant – the meeting room is free to the club.
